Guillermo “Memo” Ochoa is a Mexican goalkeeper that has had great success in both his club and international career. He started his playing career in 2004 at América there he had great success winning 4 titles, including a national title in 2005 and the Champions’ Cup in 2006. He stayed at the club until 2011 playing over 200 games. In 2011, he transferred to French side Ajaccio. He played for the club for three seasons after moving to Málaga in Spain. He stayed at Málaga for two seasons not playing many matches until he was loaned to Granada. In 2017, he moved to Standard Liege in Belgium where he still plays. Ochoa earned the starting position and won the Belgium Cup in 2018.
Ochoa’s success is mainly due to the spike in his performance when he uses the Mexican jersey. Memo has 95 appearances with El Tri including four World Cup (2006,2010,2014 and 2018) appearances and won three CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Comenzó su carrera como jugador en 2004 en América, donde tuvo un gran éxito al ganar 4 títulos, incluyendo un título nacional en 2005 y la Copa de Campeones en 2006. Se quedó en el club hasta 2011 jugando más de 200 partidos. En 2011, se trasladó al equipo francés Ajaccio. Jugó para el club durante tres temporadas después de mudarse a Málaga en España. Estuvo en Málaga dos temporadas sin jugar muchos partidos hasta que fue cedido en préstamo a Granada. En 2017, se mudó a Standard Liege en Bélgica, donde todavía juega. Ochoa obtuvo el puesto de titular y ganó la Copa de Bélgica en 2018.
